The aim of the National Digital Data Archive (http://www.nda.hu/en) is to provide an intelligent search surface for data on the Internet in Hungarian language or with Hungarian relations. Amongst other things, it contains the meta data of Hungarian public collections, and makes them searchable on the Internet. Version 2.0 was created in order that besides the state data hosts (such as the National Széchényi Library), make the broader public able to be involved in registering digital data.

In the project, our tasks were to improve the database functions – collecting, indexing, searching for data – and to integrate the systems that had been developed by different teams. The biggest challenge was handling large amounts of data and designing an accurate sign-on system (SSO).
